Intermediate Skills Session Sunday 6 April

Welcome to the 2nd to last for the 2024/25 sup Season's Intermediate Skills Session with Sharon Bourke (Supfit Sharon)

This session will be held at the front of Royal Brighton Yacht Club Brighton on Sunday 6th April 2025 starting 8.00am sharp. Please allow plenty of time to park and set up your boards. There is plenty of paid parking but you can always drop your board off and park in one of the side streets. Please read parking signage as it differs from street to street and side to side.

If you have pre experience on remounting your board solo and have paddled in winds over 8+ knots this is a session for you to improve your skills and confidence on the water.  If you are not concerned about getting wet and laughing the morning away, this Sunday’s SUP Melbourne Skills Session will have a little bit of “Wind on the Water” so expect some “thrills and spills” all under the guidance of our instructor and team.

How  to begin to “RIDE & GLIDE” on your first BUMPS!

What to  expect…. 

*Lots of laughs.

*Lots of thrills and spills. 

*When to speed up your stroke to catch the bump.

*When to ease off the stroke and glide ( the best part )              

*Change of footwork.

*Paddle position as you glide.

*Body weight positioning.

We will be taking photos on the day that will be posted to the social media of Sup Melbourne and Supfit Sharon, please if you prefer to not be included in the photos let one of our helpers know.
Late cancellations and No shows dips into our grant money which enables us to hold these subsidized events not to mention uses a spot that another member could have attended so please consider when booking ‘that you are able to attend’.
