SUP Melbourne Christmas Social Paddle
Point Park Crescent
15:00 – 18:00
Our annual Christmas Social Paddle along the Birrarung/Yarra is back again this year. Launching from Point Park Docklands, we make our way right up through the centre of town, turning around at Princes Bridge. This is a super photogenic paddle, so make sure you have your phone handy. Expect to paddle for about 2 hours at a very leisurely pace. You must have your own board and paddle, and a leg rope or board leash is required. Life jackets are not mandatory but highly recommended. After the paddle, we’ll gather on the lawn at Point Park for a byo picnic. Parking might be limited, so please arrive early to find a park and set up your board. We’d like to launch right on 3pm. Open to everyone. Join us to help spread the Christmas joy as we casually paddle through the centre of Melbourne. More details to come

SUP Melbournes Yarra Christmas River Light Show Paddle or SMYCRLSP for short. Join us for a very casual and fun up the Birrarung (Yarra) river to watch the Yarra Christmas Light show near Southbank. Launch time: 8pm sharp. Launch location: Point Park Docklands. Some mandatory gear is needed. Lights. You must have at least one round white light on your board. See the facebook discussion for a few options. Leg rope. You must have a leg rope of leash for this paddle. Coil leg ropes are best for river paddles. We will be launching at 8pm sharp, so please arrive early to set up. Unfortunately this paddle is NOT suitable for first time paddlers. Although it’ll be a chilled social paddle, you need to be confident to paddle about 6kms in the dark. You seriously do not want to fall in the Yarra, at night.

Yarra River Easter Glow Paddle
Point Park Crescent
17:30 – 19:30
Weather permitting let’s get our glow on and join in for a very social Easter paddle on the Yarra. Meeting at 5.30 to be on the water at 6pm This paddle is for confident paddlers as we will be paddling under the glow of the city lights and our own illumination. Expect limited visibility and possible wake from tourist boats To participate you will need a white light for the front and rear of your board, bear in mind torches or bike headlights can be very blinding. We will be adding ideas to assist in your purchases to both illuminate you and your board. As always Leg ropes are mandatory The paddle is approximately 6km and usually takes a couple of hours leaving from point Park and paddling up to the boathouses on the banks of Alexandra Gardens (Just under Princes Bridge) for a rest before our return. So bring your flashing Rabbit ears plenty of bling and all things Easter. PS if you can please try to avoid glow sticks because of their environmental impact
